i have trouble with this language in your blog post though:

The SBA technology committee has been working on this for months, and progress is coming slowly but surely. Last week, everyone had to download an update to the network VPN (or something like that…im not sure how this stuff all works), and since then people seem to be having fewer difficulties with the network. This improvement is an indication of the progress SBA has made in dealing with this issue.

I also have a problem with your assertion that John has done nothing about this issue. Yes, he's on SBA, but not a member of the technology committee that is handling this issue. As someone who has never attended an SBA meeting, how do you know that he has never discussed this issue with other members of the SBA and pushed for action to fix it? As a high-ranking member of SBA, he no doubt knew that the technology committee was taking care of this problem, and understands the channels through which things get done in the SBA. Making bold assertions about other candidates without knowing the facts is unacceptable in running a transparent and honest campaign.

My suggestion to you–do some research. I applaud your desire and commitment to fixing problems with how the student government runs, but how do you know what needs to be fixed if you don't know anything about the SBA? For example, if you had simply logged on to the SBA website you could have seen that it already has a link to email facilities issues to the facilities chair so she can inform the maintenance people…instead, you used the creation of such a link as a platform issue, taking credit for a "fix" that didn't need to be fixed. Also, if you had looked into the role of e-board members, you would know that it's not within the purview of the VP of 1Ls to sit down with the deans to discuss technology issues. My point is this: If you don't know what the SBA does and how it works, how do you know what needs to be fixed?
