Is Using a Credit Repair Service Better Than Doing It Yourself?

It is however an unfortunate reality that from time to time mistakes and inaccuracies do occur on your credit report. It is therefore very important that you make it a habit to review yours regularly to ensure that you do not become a victim of an unnecessary mistake.

If you have a low credit score due to problems on your credit report you will have to decide if you want to have the derogatory information removed by a credit repair service or if you would like to do the work yourself. It is not a difficult or complicated process to clean up your own credit, but there are some particularities to the activity. Additionally you have to consider the time required to become familiar with the ins and outs of the procedure that do exist.

While credit repair companies do charge to perform a service that you could perform yourself, they bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience. They are experts in dealing with all related parties and know the best practices to achieve results. This is their business after all and while it does cost you should expect to benefit from their experience and training.

When you are contemplating whether or not it is in your best interest to hire a credit repair company, you will need to assess how much free time you have available to devote to the task. It can be very time consuming, but if that is not a problem for your circumstance then you are probably OK to proceed on your own. If however you are a busy parent or employee then you may find the ability to pay a fee and hand the work off to someone else a worthwhile trade.

I am glad to hear a good story about credit repair services. I in no way mean to imply that all credit repair companies are bad and take advantage of consumers. I'm not agree with your this statements "the more credit card the more likely the person drives toward the credit card debts". It's because different credit card have different privilege. For example, now PBB credit card have a promotion using their credit card can get 8% cash back, so we can get this 8% "discount" when we purchase groceries and necessary thing at supermarket. If we paid cash we don't have this "discount". Some more HLB credit card also have promotion "Kids eat for free", if paid cash kids eat must paid also. Hold more credit card enjoy more benefits.

I'm with OSW on this one, with a few flavours of NSW. The eco-guy in my loves the paperlessness of the whole thing, but the teacher stands firm knowing that the automated e-reader is just another step to removing the work the "busy parent" has to do to teach their child how to read.

Yes, kids don't read, but they're also blank slates. It is our job to show them the value of reading and their own creativity. Interactive e-readers take that process away from them and the only ones who pay the price are the kids.

The higher interchange rates also lets the credit card companies off the hook when it comes to credit card fraud. Credit Card companies try and stop the fraudsters that scam the system for tens of thousands of dollars, or more.

But what about the 50, 100, or 500 dollar credit card theft? My opinion is that those types of thefts are not pursued by the credit card companies because the profit margin per transaction is so great for them. Lower the profit margin per credit card transaction and maybe there is more due diligence in going after the small time credit card thief as well.

I agree 100%.

I do think that many credit granters have absolutely despicable lending practices, and should be closed down.

They fall in the same category as cigarette companies. I'm sure the stress caused by financial difficulties are killing many people, and stealing a lot of life joy.

However, as with cigarettes, the responsibility remains with you. It is up to you, and you alone, to get out of debt and stay out of debt!

While you blame other people and look for answers elsewhere, you're not solving the main problem: taking responsibility.
